Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is your pottery food, dishwasher and microwave safe?
All pottery without gold luster are food, dishwasher, and microwave safe. Though these pieces are dishwasher safe (and I use the dishwasher for the pieces I keep), hand washing your ceramic pot is always the best way to prolong the life of your handmade piece, as some detergents can be extremely harsh. If you use the dishwasher, I recommend a natural and gentle detergent to help prolong the life of your piece.
Pottery that has gold luster is NOT microwavable! These pieces have real metal on it and should never be placed in a microwave. Also, I recommend these pots be hand washed only, as harsh detergents and abrasives can rub the gold or silver luster off the surface over time.

I placed multiple orders, can I combine the shipping?
Yes! If you place multiple orders in the same day that are under the same name and shipping address I will automatically combine the packages and refund you any shipping cost beyond what you paid. An exception will be if you have multiple orders that are large enough that need to be shipped out in multiple boxes anyway to ensure the safety of the pots during shipping. If you place another order after I already shipped your previous order out, I will be unable to combine shipping.
-
What shipping services do you use?
I currently use USPS for most packages shipped out. I use UPS Ground for larger packages. International orders usually ship either USPS or UPS.
-
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I currently charge a flat rate for international orders. Please note that you as the buyer are responsible for all customs, duties or taxes for international orders. I recommend you contact your local customs office for further info. I can not mark merchandise shipped internationally as a gift, or otherwise distort the product’s value to avoid or reduce customs fees.

My pot broke! Do you have a replacement program?
I personally know how heartbreaking it is to have your favorite pot break! I would love to see what I can do about making you a new piece. You can fill out this form to start the conversation about placing a special order to recreate a broken pot. Please note I will not be able to recreate or replace any wood/soda fired work, or any super old work that I don’t have the clay for anymore.
-
Do you do custom orders?
I love doing custom work! I will open up for a limited amount of custom orders during certain times of the year. Subscribe to my newsletter and follow me on Instagram or Facebook to stay up to date when I will open up for custom orders.
-
How often do you have shop updates?
This is a great question! Currently my timeline is whenever I have enough work for a shop update I have one. I will be trying for smaller updates once a month or larger updates every 2-3 months.
-
Do you offer refunds?
If your piece arrives damaged I can either replace it or give you a refund. You must contact me within 7 days of receiving your shipment if the item arrived damaged. Before completing a refund, I will need documentation, pictures of the damaged product and any additional info from you so I can file a damage claim with the shipping carrier. Please keep the damaged piece and the packaging until notified, as some carriers may inspect the package or require additional info before approving a claim.
If you want a refund for any other reason besides damages, let me know within 7 days of receiving your order and I am happy to work with you to resolve any issue. I want you to be super happy with your order, but if no resolution can be found, I will offer a refund only after the product has been shipped back by the customer with a pre-paid label and received by me.
If you have any additional refund or shipping concerns, please email me at brilarsonart@gmail.com and I will be happy to discuss with you.

I am a huge fan! Aside from purchasing your work, how else can I support you?
Thank you so much! I love hearing how my work lives in your home and seeing pots in use by customers makes me so happy. Ways you can support me and help me continue making art is to spread my work by word of mouth, share on social media, give likes, follows, and help my work get seen by more and more people.
