[SECOND] Cat Dinner Plate

Measures about 1.75 inches tall, 9.5 inches wide.

This Cat Dinner Plate is a second! I use silica sand on my kiln shelves because I use drippy glazes and it helps protect the kiln shelves much more than standard kiln wash. The bottom of the plate was glazed and a bit of the silica sand got stuck to the bottom of the plate. This plate has some silica sand stuck in the glaze on the bottom of the pot (see photo) but has been sanded down a bit to be smooth. It's completely functional and beautiful!

This piece is food and microwave safe. Though it is dishwasher safe (and I use the dishwasher for the pieces I keep), hand washing your ceramic pot is always the best way to prolong the life of your handmade piece, as some detergents can be extremely harsh. If you use the dishwasher, I recommend a natural and gentle detergent to help prolong the life of your piece.
