The inspiration for this mug is a little personal. My father in law passed away last month after a long illness and on the day he passed we took a walk outside. There was this little pine warbler that swooped in front of us and hopped on the trail and then flew into the trees. I've never before seen a pine warbler except for hearing them in the bushes, so this was a rare sight to behold. He was a good man, very kind, a great mentor to so many, and a bright light in the community. To honor my father in law, who also loved birds very much, I wanted to feature this little pine warbler for July's Bird Mug of the Month.
