Though it is dishwasher safe (and I use the dishwasher for the pieces I keep), hand washing your ceramic pot is always the best way to prolong the life of your handmade piece, as some detergents can be extremely harsh. If you use the dishwasher, I recommend a natural and gentle detergent to help prolong the life of your piece.
